Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) are one of sectors that helps promote employment and GDP growth in Cambodia. However, this sector faces many big issues, one of which is lack of proper accounting records and management which can lead their businesses to be instable in the long run.

One of the main reasons why they lack this key item is that those SME owners cannot afford to employ capable accounting professionals to work in their businesses which are mostly run in a traditional style. Whom they can afford is low paid fresh graduates who cannot work for them independently and competently with little supervision.

In order to bridge this gap, CAC was established in 2012 with a strong will to build accounting’s future leaders who will thereafter become competent advisors to those SME owners.
